Makam Saidina Hassan dan sejumlah keluarga Nabi (Tomb of Saidina Hassan and a number of the Prophet's family)

Bersambung dari Masjid (Mosque of) Bilal.
Continued from Masjid (Mosque of) Bilal.

Merujuk pada artikel Tanah perkuburan (Burial ground of) Baqi'. Saya pun masuk mengikut orang ramai.
Referring to the article Tanah perkuburan (Burial ground of) Baqi'. After the Asar (late afternoon) prayer I passed by the main entrance to that burial ground and found it open to the public. So I entered following the crowd.

Ada bahagian tertentu yang ingin dituju. Tetapi orang ramai cuma dibenarkan melihat dari jauh.
There is a certain section I want to aim for. But the crowd is only allowed to look from afar.

At the section protected by a semi-circular wall there lies the remains of a number of people who have close family ties with Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Mereka ialah :-
They are :-

A. Imam Ja'afar As-Sadiq

B. Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir

C. Imam Ali Zainal Abidin

D. Saidina Hassan

E. Saidina Abbas ibnu Abdul Mutallib

F. Fatimah binti Assad.

Saidina Hassan memiliki adinda lelaki bernama Saidina Hussein. C, Ali Zainal Abidin adalah anak Saidina Hussein. B, Muhammad Al-Baqir anak C. A, Ja'afar As-Sadiq adalah anakanda B.
How is their relationshiop with the Prophet? Let me start with D as it is my main focus and intention to go to Baqi' to visit his majesty's tomb. Saidina Hassan is the eldest grandchild of the Prophet, through the marriage of the Prophet's cousin, Saidina Ali to the Prophet's daughter, Sayidtina Fatimah. His majesty had time to be the 5th caliph of Islam. F, that is Fatimah binti Assad is mother to Saidina Ali. E, Saidina Abbas is the Prophet's uncle. Saidina Hassan has a younger brother named Saidina Hussein. C, Ali Zainal Abidin is son to Saidina Hussein. B, Muhammad Al-Baqir son to C. A, Ja'afar As-Sadiq is son to B.

Masjid (Mosque of) Bilal

Bersambung dari Masjid (Mosque of) Zilnurin.
Continued from Masjid (Mosque of) Zilnurin.

Masjid (mosque of) Bilal could be seen about 270 meters to the south-east of Masjid Zilnurin.

Still the path of the road and closure of a number of sections due to renovation works caused me to walk almost 600 metres to get to the front of the mosque.

Inilah masjid yang dinamakan sempena sahabat Nabi yang terkenal Bilal bin Rabah.
This is it the mosque named after the famous companion of the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) Bilal bin Rabah.

Bilal's name is etched in history as the first person to have made the azan (call to prayer).

Masjid (Mosque of) Zilnurin

Selepas berjalan sekitar 400 meter ternampak masjid lain...
From Masjid Umar I wanted to head for Masjid (mosque of) Bilal of which I knew the position after looking from inside the bas heading to the hotel in the morning. After walking for around 400 metres I saw another mosque...

Seperti biasa saya mesti melihat lebih dekat.
As usual I must have a closer look.

I did not know what is the story or history of this mosque. I could only see its name is Masjid (mosque of) Zilnurin.

Masjid (Mosque of) Saidina Umar

Bersambung dari Masjid (Mosque of) Ghamama.
Continued from Masjid (Mosque of) Ghamama.

Just about 130 metres to the south of Masjid Ghamama lies this mosque.

But because of many roads and routes were closed due to construction works I had to walk more than 400 metres to get here.

Thank God I was moved to have a closer look although the area around actually has been closed, the public are not allowed in. Thus I came to find out this is it the Masjid (mosque of) Saidina Umar, built on top of the dwelling site of the second caliph of Islam. For information this is the 1,144th article in this blogspot.

Masjid (Mosque of) Ghamama

Around 50 metres south-east of Masjid Abu Bakar in turn lies this mosque.

Ia dinamakan Masjid Ghamama, katanya sempena peristiwa Nabi berdoa lalu datang awan melindungi orang ramai dari panas terik matahari .
It is named Masjid (mosque of) Ghamama, said because of an event where the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) uttered a prayer then came a cloud sheltering people from the hotness of the sun.

Masjid (Mosque of) Saidina Abu Bakar

Sekitar 70 meter di hadapan Masjid Ali iaitu menghala ke selatan terdapat Masjid Saidina Abu Bakar.
Around 70 metres in front of Masjid Ali that is heading to the south there exists the mosque of Saidina Abu Bakar.

Dalam artikel (The place called) Sokaifat Bani Saedah sudah disebut siapakah Saidina Abu Bakar.
In the article (The place called) Sokaifat Bani Saedah has been mentioned who is Saidina Abu Bakar.

Kalau tak salah, seperti halnya Masjid Ali, masjid ini dibina di atas rumah Abu Bakar.
If not mistaken, as in the case of Masjid Ali, this mosque was built on the house of  Abu Bakar.

Masjid (Mosque of) Saidina Ali

Ke selatan lagi kelihatan pula masjid ini.
Further north could be seen in turn this mosque.

Ia nampak kurang dipedulikan.
It looked like it is not given much attention.

Pintu luarnya terkunci.
It's outer gate is locked.

This is it the mosque of Saidina Ali, named after a first cousin who became the son-in-law of the Prophet (Muhammad SAW). He who got married to Sayiditina Fatimah binti (daughter of) Rasulullah SAW (a calling for the Prophet) later became the fourth khalifah (caliph, grand leader) of the Muslims.

Katanya di sinilah Saidina Ali pernah menetap. Masjid didirikan kemudian.
It is said it was here that Saidina Ali used to dwell. The mosque was built later.

(The place called) Sokaifat Bani Saedah

From the mosque of Abu Dzar I walked 1 km heading to the west then turned south following a road which runs parallel to the right side of Masjid (mosque of) Nabawi. While walking there that I saw a small garden which has its own unique history.

It is located on a land called the Sokaifat Bani Saedah. It was here that the main companion of the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) which is Saidina Abu Bakar as-Siddiq was first given the bai'at, pledge of allegiance from the public to become the first khalifah (deputy to the Prophet, leader to others) of Islam,  just after the Prophet passed away and the Muslim community needed a new leader.

Masjid (Mosque of) Abu Dzar al-Ghifari

From Masjid Imam Bukhari I could see another mosque.

Letaknya kira-kira 300 meter lagi ke utara.
Its position is about another 300 metres to the north.

It is the mosque of Abu Dzar Al-Ghifari, named after a companion of the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) which was famous and very loyal.

Masjid (Mosque of) Imam Bukhari

From the north-east of Masjid Nabawi could be seen this mosque.

Letaknya cuma 200 meter ke utara halaman Masjid Nabawi.
It's location is just 200 metres to the north of the compound of Masjid Nabawi.

Kelihatan ia tidak lagi digunakan.
Looks like it is no more in use.

When looked at closer then only I knew this is the Masjid (mosque of) Imam Bukhari. Originating from Bukhara (now in Uzbekistan) he had travelled far and wide to gain knowledge and collect hadith (sayings) of the Prophet (Muhammad SAW). Imam Bukhari lived in the early 9th century AD. If not mistaken this mosque was built on the site of his dwelling when in Medina.

Tanah perkuburan (Burial ground of) Baqi'

Bersambung dari Masjid (Mosque of) Nabawi.
Continued from Masjid (Mosque of) Nabawi.

To the left or east of Masjid Nabawi lies the Baqi' burial ground.

With a width of 580 metres, 430 metres across it is the main burial ground in Madinah since the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW more than 1,400 years ago.

It is said here was laid to rest more than 10,000 companions of the Prophet and some family members.

God willing later will be featured a number of important tombs available in Baqi'.

Masjid (Mosque of) Nabawi

Assalamualaikum. Tiga hari lalu saya telah membuat artikel bertajuk Masjid kecil antara Jeddah dan Madinah (Small mosque between Jeddah and Medina). Kiranya artikel ini bersambung penceritaan darinya...
Peace be up you all. Three days ago I have made an article called Masjid kecil antara Jeddah dan Madinah (Small mosque between Jeddah and Medina). This article could be counted as the continuation of storytelling from it.

Saya sampai ke bandar raya Madinah selepas 9 pagi Rabu 3 April. Selepas berehat sebentar di hotel saya pun berjalan kaki ke Masjid Nabawi, masjid Nabi Muhammad SAW.
I arrived at the city of Madinah after 9am Wednesday 3rd April. After resting for a while at the hotel I then walked to Masjid  (mosque of) Nabawi, the mosque of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Masjid Nabawi is very big. A check using satellite pictures from Google Earth showed the building alone covers an area 400 metres wide and 300 metres across. The building is located inside a compound 660 metres wide and 530 metres across. See the pillars with structures forming umbrellas around the building? I was told it was built in the year 2010 to give protection to outside congregation from the weather.

This mosque faces the south where the building of Ka'abah (Muslims' point of concentration during prayers) in Mecca is located around 400 km journey. I entered the compound through the north-west door walking towards the south passing the right-side of the building.

Sampai ke satu sudut saya membelok ke timur.
Coming to a corner I turned to the east.

Masjid Nabawi memiliki banyak pintu masuk.
Masjid Nabawi has many doors for entrance. Still the door said to be most blessed is the one which is called  the door of Babussalam.

From here we could walk 100 metres straight to get out from the opposite door, a door on the eastern side...

Sambil berjalan saya memandang ke kiri.
While walking I looked to the left.

Not long after I could see the structure called the mihrab of the prophet. the original mihrab (front-most section inside a mosque) when Prophet Muhammad SAW was still alive more than 1,400 years ago.

Inilah mihrabnya.
This is it the mihrab. It is situated inside an area called the Raudhah, said to be a garden from paradise.

Sekitar 8 meter ke kanannya terdapat Mimbar Nabi. Perhatikan tengah gambar.
Around 8 metres to its right is the Mimbar Nabi (pulpit of the Prophet). Pay attention to the middle of the picture.Raudhah is the area between the Mimbar Nabi and the Makam Nabi (tomb of the Prophet) around 20-30 metres to the east.

Satu pandangan ke belakang.
A look to the rear.

At that rear side I stood for a while taking perspective looking at the view to the front.

Pandangan ke atas.
A look above.

After that I have to walk furthermore to the right before I could enter again the mosque' front area heading to the east. Could be seen the Mimbar Nabi to the left...

Kemudian kelihatan mihrab baru, mihrab setelah masjid dibesarkan menjadi seperti saiz sekarang. Lihat ke kanan.
Then could be seen the new mihrab (front-most section), the mihrab after the mosque has been enlarged to its present size. Look to the right.

Ke kiri kelihatan sebahagian dari Raudhah.
To the left could be seen part of the Raudhah.

But we could not enter the Raudhah from the front doors as it is only for people going out. There are too many people who wants to take the blessing of being inside Raudhah and they have to struggle to get inside from the rear. Earlier before I was lucky for being able to sneak in straight to the side of the Mihrab Nabi.

Saya pun berjalan terus mengikut aliran orang ramai ke pintu timur.
I then walked straight following the flow of the crowd to the eastern door.

Kelihatanlah tiga panel tertutup di kiri...
Could be seen three closed panel to the left...

Di sebalik panel-panel ini terdapat makam Nabi Muhammad SAW diikuti makam sahabat baginda Saidina Abu Bakar as-Siddiq (khalifah Islam pertama) dan makam Saidina Umar al-Faruq (khalifah kedua).
Behind these panels lie the tomb of Prophet Muhammad SAW followed by the tomb of his companions Saidina Abu Bakar as-Siddiq (the first khalifah, deputy of the prophet and leader of Muslims worldwide) and tomb of Saidina Umar al-Faruq (the second khalifah).

Coming out from the eastern door which is called the door of Baqi'.

Saya ke hadapan masjid sebentar.
I went to the front of the mosque for a while.

Di bawah kubah hijau inilah terletak Makam Nabi.
It is under the green dome where lies the tomb of the Prophet.

Pandangan siri kiri Masjid Nabawi sambil saya berjalan kaki ke utara meninggalkan masjid. Cukup.
A left-side view of the Masjid (mosque of) Nabawi as I walked to the north leaving the mosque. Enough.
